IN
THE NAME OF LIFE OUR FAMILIES NEED US:
This week the Senate
Budget Committee put forward a budget resolution that if enacted would likely
result in cutbacks to Medicaid and Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) while at the
same time provide large tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans.
The Senate resolution
could result in $11 billion reduction in Medicaid spending over five years,
which would force the denial of benefits to thousands of working families and
other vulnerable Americans. States would be forced to further reduce benefits
and cut payments to hospitals and providers.
The resolution also could
result in a $3 billion cut to the EITC over 5 years.
Low-income working families and individuals could have their EITC benefits
delayed. Individuals not raising children could loose EITC altogether.
Please contact your
Senators immediately and urge them to vote against the Senate Budget Committee
Resolution. Dont let Congress continue taking from the poor and give to the
rich. IN THE NAME OF LIFE: Let us make our
voices heard.

The
National Black Catholic Apostolate for life
is not silent on the issue of abortion.
The killing of innocent lives
is never justified, and will never be acceptable behavior in our community.
Every abortion ends life.
All life is sacred and must be protected.
As defenders of life we stand
firmly on the side of life.
We are by word and example, praying, proclaiming, and promoting the
Gospel of Life.
